How can design help us imagine fairer and more resilient futures? Symposium at the EPICenter (Slovenia) - September 18 and 19, 2025
How can design help us imagine fairer and more resilient futures?
On September 18 and 19, 2025, the Reclaiming Hope symposium brought together researchers, designers and cultural actors at the EPICenter (Slovenia) to explore this essential question.
On this occasion, James Auger, lecturer-researcher at the Centre de recherche en Design, will speak on the theme of “Reconstrained design”.
This conference is part of the European project SUrF, funded by Erasmus+.
SUrF brings together five European institutions (France, the Netherlands, Spain, Croatia, and Estonia) around a common goal: to invent and test new teaching methods to train the next generation of designers, capable of thinking about the transition and acting in the face of uncertainty. Why is this important? Because design is not just about objects or technologies. It is also a way to collectively reflect on our ways of living, producing, and inhabiting the world, by opening up concrete avenues of action for tomorrow.
